True Story

For english class! Note that it never released his name, so I had to make one up, and may as well make an alliteration.

The Ballad of Larry Bane

Now Larry Bane was a family man,

keeping it cool and straight.

Though his luck was down near empty,

and his time becoming late.

To show his wife and daughters three

some fun before their train,

he set a penny upon the track

so that it would flatten where it lain.

The train had passed to New York

and one passenger it had nicked,

this poor man left his family

and a new grave they would pick.

The price to pay for stupidity

is a million bucks and one.

This man had paid one penny

and his life it would be done.

Now AIDS is slow and painful

and TB long and sick,

this man had died one instant,

and it was over rather quick.

Now Larry Bane is six-foot deep,

kept always cool and straight.

Though his luck was down now empty,

he missed the train too late.
